Happiness - Enjoy and invest at the same time... live in the moment.
😊😃😄 HAPPINESS 😄😃😊
Don't we all wish to be surrounded by happiness all the time? Is it so easy to find happiness, lock it and get rid of the key?
We find happiness when our needs get fulfilled.
Doesn't it really depend on what we want from life or the satisfaction that we get from the things that we do or even the options that we choose? Do we really put the required effort? Do we ever think that deep at all?
I do believe that to some extent it depends on our destiny and luck. It is hidden in the small pleasures and moments of life. The good/bad exposures we get from our surroundings teach and train us. I am trying to think positive and believe what the experts have to say :
HAPPINESS IS IN THE MOMENT... ENJOY TODAY LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW... DO THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE US HAPPY!!
Well, the definition of the word "happiness" changes as we keep growing. Each age group has it's own perception. Babies with their cutest faces and little toddlers with their pure innocence spread so much joy and happiness in the world . Given a chance I would wish to relive my childhood when happiness was so easily found.

As our brain goes on developing, the
innocence starts fading and our needs and demands keep growing. Many degrees attached to their name , becoming famous or driving their ambition could mean happiness for some . A good amount
of people seek happiness in the materialistic possessions and big bank balance.
Can money always buy happiness? We may have loads of money and impressive
possessions, but, can any of that really give us the peace of mind or solace to
our heart? Life is so uncertain and unpredictable. We read stories about rags
to riches and vice versa. Money cannot buy life. My mother's untimely death taught me this cruel lesson. All the treatments, money and prayers didn't work. The bereavement pain didn’t seem to end. Life seemed to have come to a standstill. Time is the greatest
healer... it took a lot of time to come to terms with
the tragic loss. Now, she stays happily alive in my heart and her fond memories bring a
smile on my face whenever I remember her.
Happiness is: having a satisfied life !
Happiness is: having a satisfied life !
Isn't the carefree adolescence and the twenties the most desirable phase of our life! I recollect and share my memories with my teenage boys and feel so excited even now . Youthful and active energetic young blood is ready to explore and experiment the delights of
life. The ecstatic youth is flooded with euphoria ready to reach the sky.
Happiness at this stage is at such wide levels... Infatuation, dating, academic success that they achieve, excellence in sports, finding their true passion, realise the hidden talents or even groom the creative minds. Some may fancy living on the edge, acting wild, daring to challenge the unthinkable, bullying the soft targets or just being wicked. Reminiscing the gathered moments years later
at our reunions adds a refreshing flavour to it. Youthful days are the most
magnificent days in the circle of life.
Thirties and the rest of our life
brings with it the immense burdens…
responsibilities, duties, commitments, expectations, aspirations, health issues and what not. Routine life in this modern world has become so fast that we regularly run out of time to meet our ends. I sometimes feel I have become a juggler and a performing artist playing the different roles at the same time. Do you feel the same? I find myself lost somewhere while playing these varied roles. It seems as if happiness many a times is playing a prank on me. “When was the last time that I was
happy” some people may keep on wondering. We all very well know that life is anything
but perfect.
I read somewhere: Create your own happiness. The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts. Aha… that appealed to me. But, the truth is, it is easy to read a quote but very difficult to practice , especially when you are at your low . Nevertheless , I still try creating my own happy moments. I am happy doing the small things... something like a fresh morning walk, window shopping and many times actual, behaving like a small child throwing tantrums, relaxing and staying in my nothing box, chatting, googling online, exploring my newest found hobby- writing and improving my skills and the list goes on. It's not that I am never down in the dumps... but .. you see ..that's life. I like to take one day at a time and think positive .

Life has made me believe that we
do need , not lots but, enough money for survival, enough to take care of our
basic needs and wellbeing and support our old age.
Enjoy and invest at the same time is my new happiness mantra now 👍
I think it is safe to invest today for a restful, stress free tomorrow. Our insecurities naturally grow with our greying hair. Retired life, old age and fragile health will invite loneliness, need for attention and support- both physical and emotional. Happiness at this stage for me I am hoping should be something like a peaceful healthy life , going on a relaxed holiday, socialising at the yoga or laughter clubs, watching TV, enjoying a sunny day with sipping on a cup of tea or coffee, bird watching, gardening etc. I have observed that, at this stage there are very limited expectations from life. My father-in-law used to always say: Each day is a bonus day… glad to open my eyes each morning.
Fresh food on the table, surrounded by loved ones, good health and a sound sleep remains the limited definition of happiness at this age. Do you agree?
Let me end by sharing these interesting online thoughts: Happiness is not the absence of problems; it is the ability to deal with them. Happiness is found when we stop comparing ourselves with others.
Do leave your valuable comments below . They would improve my thoughts . Take care and be safe.😊👍
